Butler County homicide suspect arrested in a different state
Michigan law enforcement on Friday arrested a Pitcairn man, who is a Muddy Creek Township homicide suspect from earlier this year, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Daniel C. Lloyd, 20, was taken into custody in Detroit late last week, police said Monday.
State police said further information may be released Monday in the form of a news release.
Lloyd and codefendant Nicole L. Schwartz, 37, of Ellwood City, have been charged with homicide in the death of a 32-year-old Columbus man whose body was found June 11 along Kelly Road in Muddy Creek Township.
The case against Lloyd has been pending his arrest, and he will soon be arraigned before a district judge and scheduled for a preliminary hearing.
Schwartz, his alleged co-conspirator and the ex-girlfriend of the deceased, has already waived her right to a preliminary hearing, and the case against her has moved toward trial in the Butler County Common Pleas Court.
