Doris Mary Forcht
Doris Mary Forcht, 83, of Concordia Fox Chapel in Cheswick, formerly of East Metzger Avenue in Butler and Concordia at the Orchard, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Friday at the Concordia Fox Chapel.
Born Aug. 27, 1929, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Ray and Elizabeth Roberts Ray.
Mrs. Forcht was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Butler and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and shopping.
Mrs. Forcht is survived by two sons, Keith Forcht and his wife, Pamela, of Gibsonia, and Brian Forcht and his wife, Karen, of Erie; two brothers, Lewis Ray and Alvin Ray, both of Butler; four sisters, Mildred Ray of Butler, Sandra Hetrick of Whiteville, N.C., Twila Devore of Butler and Lucille Ray of Butler; five grandchildren, Alex Forcht and his wife, Jessica, of Mars, Jennifer Forcht of Gibsonia, Breann Forcht of Gibsonia, Kalle Forcht of Erie and Cameron Forcht of Erie; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Forcht; 11 nephews and 10 nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Arnold Forcht, who she married on Feb. 23, 1951, and who passed away Sept. 2, 2009; and by two brothers, Robert Ray and Allan Ray.
FORCHT — Friends of Doris Mary Forcht, who died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be at the First English Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James W. Dollhopf of the First English Lutheran Church officiating.
A luncheon at the church will follow the service.
