Jeanne F. Lowe
Jeanne F. Lowe, 83, of Butler passed away Saturday at home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Butler, the daughter of the late Arthur Trimbur and Clara Schuler Trimbur.
Mom loved spending time with, entertaining and cooking for friends and family. There was always room at her table for one more. She loved to travel, play board games, cards and dice, build puzzles with her family, cheer for the Steelers, and make beer and wine. She loved a good bargain and hated groundhogs in her garden. She lived and loved life fully, and was fiercely proud of her entire extended family. She will be missed by us all.
Jeanne was a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where her father was a handyman. She was a graduate of BHS in 1950 and Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Midwestern Intermediate Unit (IU4) as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Alan D. Lowe, who she married April 24, 1953; four sons, Douglas (Marlene) Lowe of Butler, Jeff Lowe of Springfield, Vt., Ted (Diane) Lowe of West Sunbury and Chris (Julie) Lowe of Gaithersburg, Md.; nine grandchildren, Heather, Billy, Mandi, Tristan, Erin, Dan, Tara, Clara and Erick; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn (John) Grecco of Mount Pleasant; and one brother, Joe (Corky) Trimbur of New Boston, N.H.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight sisters; and two brothers.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and most especially her doctor, Thomas Shetter, M.D., for his lifelong compassionate care of her.
