Law enforcement from across Pennsylvania came together Wednesday to say a final farewell to Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

The funeral service for McIntire is set for noon Wednesday in Mount Saint Peter Church at 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington.

Burial will immediately follow at Mount Airy Cemetery, 2800 Old Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.

Anyone attending the funeral service on Wednesday is asked to go directly to the church to give the family privacy. Burial will follow the funeral at Mount Airy Cemetery,

Last week, Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe said his office would attend the funeral and “be part of taking him home.” He said that at least three deputies knew McIntire.
