Brown wins 2 more in harness racing
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove two more horses to victory during harness racing action Thursday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Brown guided Fawn De Touched to victory in a $15,400 Conditioned Trot and led Inside Express to a win in an $11,500 Conditioned Trot.
Elsewhere on the card, trainer/driver Aaron Johnston of Evans City led DP Super Special to victory in an $11,500 Conditioned Trot.
County athletes shine in PAC Indoor track
YOUNGSTOWN — Numerous Butler County athletes placed during Thursday night’s Presidents’ Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Youngstown State University.
Moniteau graduate James Parenti took second in the weight toss for Grove City. Karns City graduate Hunter Jones ran a leg of Grove City’s fourth-place 1,600-meter relay. Butler graduate Isaac Busler ran a leg of the Wolverines’ fourth-place distance medley relay.
Moniteau graduate Jacob Patton won the 60-merter hurdles for Westminster, tying his school-record time of 8.39 seconds. He was fourth in the 400 meters and fourth in the pole vault. Karns City graduate Anthony Kamenski was third in the 60-meter hurdles for Westminster and fifth in the 400. Kamenski and Patton also ran a leg of the Titans’ third-place 1,600-meter relay.
