Thomas G. Simons, 65, of Butler, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023.

Born in Butler, on July 12, 1958, he was a son of the late William C. “Tiger” Simons and Eleanor Siebert Simons.

Tom was employed over the years in sales and marketing for various companies.

Tom loved baseball. He was a catcher back in his playing days. He also enjoyed golf, and he participated for many years in duckpin bowling at the Knights of Columbus hall.

He is survived by one brother, Bill Simons and his wife, Gail, of Pulaski Township; one sister, Mary Ann Simons Knox and her husband, Virgil, of Valencia; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

SIMONS — Friends of Thomas G. Simons, who died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
