Following a fatal crash on Route 422 Thursday, Aug. 31, buses for the Butler Area School District are seeing “significant delays.”

“Butler County 911 has informed us that there is a significant backup on Route 422, which is preventing our bus drivers from getting to the bus garage,” superintendent Brian White said in a letter to the district.

Parents with children at the district’s secondary schools are being encouraged to arrange transportation for their students.

An update will be released “as the afternoon progresses” for students in the district’s elementary schools.
