Tins of shortbread cookies will once again be distributed on Main Street to raise awareness of mental health challenges.

The Centers for Community Resources in many counties across the state will offer tins of cookies to pedestrians, workers, motorists and others at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Hayley Merchant, senior director of programs at the Butler County Center for Community Resources, said more than 7,500 tins will be distributed throughout Pennsylvania.

Cookies will be distributed at random while supplies last.
