Creditor appeals Wilson Center sale
PITTSBURGH — International Investigative Services says it’s still owed $211,000 and is appealing a judge’s decision to greenlight the sale of the financially strapped August Wilson Center for African American Culture.
Allegheny County Judge Lawrence O’Toole had held up the sale after the Bethel Park security firm objected, saying it was being shut out while a court-appointed receiver and assistants were being paid $590,000 and union stagehands were paid $33,000.
A lawyer for the firm says they’re not trying to derail the sale.
