Paula G. Coleman
Paula G. Coleman, 59, of Butler earned her angel wings and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
Paula was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Coleman and Carol “Cindy” Day Coleman. She was born July 9, 1957, in Butler.
She graduated from Karns City High School in 1975 and attended Butler County Community College. She was formerly employed at Chicora Medical Center, the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Complete Care, United Cerebral Palsy and also worked as a visiting nurse before her illness.
Paula attended First United Methodist Church God's Country. She enjoyed scenic drives, attending yard sales, dining out and spending time at Moraine State Park.
Paula was caring and patient and loved spending time with children. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew as they grew up, and later, her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her mother, Carol “Cindy” Day Coleman; two sisters, Sharon (Richard) Walker and Sandra Coleman; one nephew, Mick (Lisa Marie) Kendrick; four nieces, Autum (Donald) Copper, Ginger Kendrick, Samantha Walker and Elizabeth Walker; and a number of aunts and uncles.
COLEMAN — Friends of Paula G. Coleman, who died Monday, March 20, 2017, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Park of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
