If we could write a story

It would be the greatest ever told

Of our kind and loving Dad

Who had a heart of gold.

Someone who meant so much

And was loved by all he knew,

Who left behind a trail of tears

And precious memories, too.

This first Father’s Day without you, Dad,

Will be difficult beyond measure,

But your love, smile, and endless humor

We will hold in our hearts and treasure forever.

We say that you were our Dad with great pride,

And words just can’t convey

How much we wish you were still here

With us on this Father’s Day.
