Edward Spinneweber
Edward L. Spinneweber, 61, of Butler died Sunday morning at the Kittanning Care Center in Kittanning.
Born Feb. 3, 1947, in Butler, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Leona Gibson Spinneweber.
He was a welder at Armco Steel Corp. for eight years, and had previously worked for the Fey Steel Co. in Mars and Spang and Co. in Butler for nine years.
He was a resident of Vero Beach, Fla., for 13 years and returned to Butler in 2000.
His hobbies included small engine repairs and developing mechanical inventions. He was a steam engine enthusiast and enjoyed the annual Portersville Steam Engine show. He also enjoyed camping and boating.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Thompson Spinneweber, who he married June 1, 1968; one son, Carl (Katrina) Spinneweber of Butler; one daughter, Shelby Spinneweber of St. Augustine, Fla.; one grandson, Kenneth Spinneweber; and two brothers, Thomas Spinneweber of Meridian and James Spinneweber of Portersville.
