The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association have recognized nine Allegheny Health Network hospitals for the quality of their programs on heart failure, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease and stroke care.

AHN Allegheny General Hospital, AHN Allegheny Valley, AHN Canonsburg, AHN Forbes, AHN Jefferson, AHN Grove City, AHN West Penn, AHN Wexford and AHN Saint Vincent in Erie all have earned the annual American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines - Heart Failure Achievement Award, Gold Plus designation, the highest level of achievement.

For outcomes in coronary artery disease, AHN Allegheny General Hospital, AHN Saint Vincent and AHN West Penn earned Silver designations, while AHN Jefferson and AHN Wexford received Bronze Plus designations.
