Bill Wise, 87, of Fort Meade, Fla., formerly of Harmony, passed away Tuesday at Regional Hospital in Scranton, Pa.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1926, the son of Paul and Mary Wise.

Bill was very active in his community, serving as a lifetime member of the Harmony Fire Department and the Keenagers. He liked to help out at the Lenten Lunches at the Grace Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved building birdhouses and cooking chicken on the grill.

He also loved spending time with his twin brother, Bob, and his adored grandchildren.

Surviving are his two daughters, Jane (Ron) Howell of Springville, Pa., and Joy (Jeff) Brown of Fort Meade, Fla.; his five grandchildren, Marcy, Bill, Jeff, Kim and Rachael; his four great-grandchildren, Ashante, Eugene, Trenton and Bryce; and his great-great-granddaughter, Ava. Also surviving are his two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Wise and Jane Baker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Braughler Wise.
