William A. “Bill” Mackenroth, of Cabot, 71, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, of congestive heart failure.

He was born in Shaler Township to Jack and Mary (Thompson) Mackenroth. He graduated from Shaler High School and Allegheny County Community College with a degree in electronics. He served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Bill retired from Emerson, previously Westinghouse Electric, as an electronics technician.

He enjoyed telling jokes, doing puzzles, spending time with his family, camping, working at the local election polls and teaching Sunday school.

Bill is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Andrew and Ezekiel; sisters, Suze Johnstone and Sandra Krug; and nieces, Heidi (Mike) Bennati-Schmidt and Kaylyn Johnstone.

MACKENROTH — A memorial service for William A. “Bill” Mackenroth, who died Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Christ is the Answer Chapel, 225 Neupert Road, Marwood, Pa.
