NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans fans dressed up for the world's largest Halloween party.
An adjudicator from Guinness World Records verified that at least 17,777 fans attending Sunday night's game between the Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers came in costume, setting a record for the largest gathering of Halloween revelers.
According to the Guinness website, the record coming into the game had been set by 508.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said Saturday it was his decision to hold practice outdoors on a windy day when a student videographer died.Kelly said he decided the Irish could have a productive and safe practice outdoors.

SHREVEPORT, La. — Dan Gray of Butler Township finished 28th overall, fourth in his division, at the BASS Federation National Championships last week on Red River in Shreveport, La.Gray's fish total was 13 pounds, .01 ounce. Brandon Palniuk of Rathdrum, Idaho, won the event with a total of 29 pounds, nine ounces.
