Starr Raible

Raible

Starr L. Strutt Raible, 66, of Chester County, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024.

Born July 8, 1958, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Patricia J. Lemley Strutt and the late Lawrence Eugene Strutt.

Starr was a 1980 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in facilities planning and management, which she practiced for 30 years. After the birth of her children, she went back to school and obtained a Master of Arts in teaching from Arcadia University and taught middle school English for eight years.

She was a Master Gardener, an avid lover of animals and the outdoors, and a craft enthusiast. In her free time, Starr enjoyed camping, sailing, thrifting and baking for family and friends. Her warmth and mischievous sense of humor will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Patricia J. Lemley Strutt; her daughter, Sarah “Maggie” Raible; her son, Christopher Raible; her sisters, Stephanie Pierret and Leslie Strutt; her brother, Craig Strutt; her five nieces and nephews; and her nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

Starr was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Eugene Strutt, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2014.
