Slippery Rock University chose 11 students’ artwork from Seneca Valley Senior High School for its 2024 Regional High School Juried Art Exhibition.

Awards juried by the SRU Art Department included Best of Show, four honorable mention awards, SRU Art Students’ Choice Award and the SRU Potters Guild Ceramics Award. Caelyn DiPietro, a senior at Seneca Valley, received an honorable mention for her ceramic piece.

Submitted pieces from students in Jason Woolslare’s drawing, painting and senior career art classes include seniors Cortlan Harrell, Alexa Hudak, Steven Patterson, Brenna Vassallo, Scarlett Woolslare and Madeline Zimmer; junior Carly Byrom and sophomore Bella Landy. Submissions from Megan Bonistalli’s pottery classes include seniors Caelyn DiPietro, Natalie Dolan and Sidney Gordon.

The exhibit featured artwork by students from 17 local high schools, which culminated with a reception and award presentation on Thursday, Nov. 14, at SRU’s Martha Gault Art Gallery.
