JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School Board Monday night voted to hire a new assistant principal for the Intermediate High School.

Erin Mazer replaces Jessica Kotula, who recently resigned for personal reasons. The school has grades 9 and 10.

Mazer was the assistant principal for Benjamin Banneker Middle School in Burtonsville, Md. She has 12 years experience as a teacher and administrator with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland.

She has a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Hood College.

Mazer will start Jan. 3 and make an annual salary of $95,000, said Linda Andreassi, school district director of communications.
