Small pocket of customers still without power this morning

A handful of people in northern Butler County are without power this morning.

According to West Penn Power, nine customers in the Slippery Rock Township area are still without electricity this morning.

The affected area is south of Kiester Road and east of Harmony Road. Power is to be restored by 4 p.m.

The company's website said the outage was due to inclement weather.

Severe thunderstorms rocked portions of the county over the weekend. The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh placed the county under a wind advisory that was in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday night.
