Janice Hetrick

Janice Hetrick

Janice Louise Hetrick, 83, of Butler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 24, 2021.

Janice was born on May 2, 1938, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Gustive Wilhem Keene and the late Amelia Edna (Schoentag) Keene.

Janice was a graduate of Butler High School, and then went to Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a registered nurse.

She was an RN in Butler Memorial Hospital's emergency room, until she retired in 2002. Following retirement, she worked for Fiorina Family Practice, and also substituted as a nurse in the Butler Area School District.

Janice had a personal relationship with Christ, and left a mark of her faith on all of us. She was a mighty warrior for the Lord, and never gave up on a single soul. She loved and prayed for her family, and enjoyed spending time with them all.

She was active in Christian Women's Club, Stone Croft Ministries, her church, mission trips and various Bible studies. She loved shopping and Civil War history.

Janice is survived by her husband, William R. Hetrick, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1959; two daughters, Pam (Jeff) Miller and Lori (Bob) Kunkle; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois (Carl) Myers; and several nieces and nephews.
