Marjorie E. Schaffner

Marjorie Eakin Schaffner, 89, of Manassas, Va., died Friday at the Manassas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Prospect, Dec. 13, 1918, she was the daughter of Floyd G. and Grace Gallagher Barkley.

She had been a bank secretary.

Mrs. Schaffner is survived by two sons, Ronald Eakin and his wife, Nita, of Manassas and James Earl and his wife, Mary Beth, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Susan Must of Manassas and Virginia Janice Campbell and her husband, James, of Maryville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Eakin; her second husband, Richard Schaffner; three brothers, Wayne, Mertz and Reade Barkley; and a granddaughter, Mary Esther Campbell.

<B>SCHAFFNER</B> — A memorial service for Marjorie Eakin Schaffner, who died Friday, June 20, 2008, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Sudley Road and Grant Avenue, Manassas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Park.
