Police: Man found dead in tree stand Tuesday in Summit Township
A man who was found dead in a tree stand on Tuesday afternoon in Summit Township, likely died a natural death, according to state police.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the 800 block of Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The man was located in a tree stand, where police found no signs of foul play, according to Trooper Bertha Cazy, public information officer.
“It’s believed to be a natural death, not accidental or suicide,” she wrote in a Wednesday email to the Eagle.
The man’s official cause of death is pending an autopsy.
Traffic along Bonniebrook Road was restricted on the road into the evening.
State police, the Butler County Coroner, Butler Ambulance Service, the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department and East Butler Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
