I applaud Don Lowry’s May 1 letter to the editor in support of abortion rights.

As Lowry notes, anti-choice advocates cloak scare tactics in the language of informed consent to dissuade women from making a choice with which they disagree.

However, unlike Lowry, I do not believe that the fact that a majority supports the rights enshrined in Roe v. Wade is as paramount as is the fact that Roe v. Wade recognizes the fundamental right to one’s own body, which is inalienable by any majority.
