Crash claims Callery woman
EVANS CITY — A Callery woman has died from injuries she sustained when a small bus she was riding was hit this morning by a train.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiners Office reports that Claudette Miller, 91, of Callery was pronounced dead at 1:03 p.m. today at Allegheny General Hospital.
According to AGH spokesman Dan Laurent, a 75-year-old man and a 38-year-old man who arrived by ambulance remained in serious condition this afternoon. A 35-year-old man who arrived by ambulance was in fair condition.
The Butler Area Rural Transit bus was trying to cross the railroad tracks on Maple Avenue when it was struck.
Seven other people have been treated at three other area hospitals.
