Boy riding skateboard struck by vehicle, dies
CLAIRTON, Allegheny County — Police are investigating a traffic accident that claimed the life of a young Pittsburgh-area boy.
Officers in Jefferson Hills said 8-year-old Connor Zink was riding a skateboard when he was struck by a vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said he was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he died less than an hour later.
Officials said homicide detectives are assisting Jefferson Hills police in the investigation.
