Case provides warning
As Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Michael Smerconish noted in his column of April 25 (“Philly trial puts abortion in the spotlight”), the trial of Kermit Gosnell on charges of murder/infanticide serve as a reminder of the caliber of abortion providers that would be available to women if abortion were outlawed.
Gosnell’s alleged actions, illegal in Pennsylvania, have unfortunately been utilized by the same government that failed to enforce its current laws, to further regulate the practice of medicine.
