Robbers quickly hit Seven Fields jewelry store

SEVEN FIELDS — Police continue today to investigate a robbery Tuesday at Moses Jewelers.

Police are gathering video surveillance of the crime, and anyone able to provide a description of the suspects or their vehicle is asked to call police at 724-776-5180 ext. 5.

A note at the store this morning said it is closed today.

At least four people robbed the store on Route 228 about 1:50 p.m. They ordered the employees to get down on the floor.

According to Cranberry Township police, the suspects broke the glass to several display cases and emptied an unknown amount of jewelry into bags. “Numerous watches and rings” were stolen during the crime, which police estimated took less than three minutes.

Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said police arrived at the store within two minutes of the call. They said that the employees were uncertain which way the suspects fled, although it’s believed they drove a white four-door vehicle.

The only suspect who had identifiable features was a black man who had nothing covering his face. The three other suspects all wore coverings over their faces, and employees couldn’t provide more descriptions to police.
