Accident on I-79 causes traffic tie up this morning



An accident this morning on Interstate 79 caused delays and backed up traffic.
A spokeswoman for the state police in Butler said that about 8:15 a.m. an accident occurred on southbound I-79 north of Zelienople. The accident involved a car traveling northbound on I-79 veering out of control and hitting a vehicle in the southbound lanes.
There were no serious injuries reported.
A spokeswoman for the Zelienople Police Department said one officer from the department assisted state police with traffic control during the incident.
