Mars baseball scores key win

Matt Parrish gave up just two hits over six innings of work and Ty Reginelli went 3-for-4 as the Mars baseball team picked up a big section win with a 6-1 victory over Valley Monday afternoon.

Noah Gasparin, Connor McGinnis and Colin Stewart all had doubles for the Planets (6-5, 3-2).

Parrish struck out five in the win.

Karns City 15, North Clarion 0 (3 innings) — Matt Yough worked three perfect innings and Alessandro Marotto doubled, singled twice and drove in five runs in the Gremlins’ mercy-rule rout.

Yough struck out five of the nine batters he faced.

Zach Moore had a triple, Holden Martin three singles and Tyler Kepple scored three runs for the Gremlins (5-1), who were playing their first game in nearly three weeks.
