Kites are Fun
The Art Center has celebration
About a dozen kites are hanging from the ceiling of The Art Center, 344 S. Main St.
Some are 20 feet long. A blue and white kite was made by a man who woke up after being in a coma for a year.
The kites are on loan from a member of the American Kitefliers Association.
The Art Center will host a Kite Celebration beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Children ages 5 to 12 can build, decorate and then fly their paper kites in Butler’s Father Marinaro Park.
Instructors will be available to teach everyone how to put together a kite, decorate it and fly it.
Cost is $10 per child and includes lunch.
This is a fundraising event to benefit The Art Center.
