Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative, 215 W. Main St., rear, Saxonburg, hosts its fifth annual Invitational High School Art Students Exhibit through May 3. Participating schools include Knoch, Freeport, Deer Lakes, Highlands, Saint Joseph and Valley. This year the cooperative awarded $1,000 in Excellence in Art Awards to four high school seniors: Becky Korff, Knoch; Katie McDough, Highlands; Kaitlin Smith, St. Joseph's; and Brenda Varela-Santiesteban, Valley. Gallery admission is free. Gallery hours are noon to 8 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays. Call 412-260-5779.

Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is marking its 10th anniversary in 2014. The Maridon is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. Guided tours are available with advance notice for no extra charge. Red Brick Gallery, 17 Main St., Foxburg, is reopening for the 2014 season. New hours beginning Friday and continuing until the end of the year are noon to 8 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Call 724-659-0003. The artists' cooperative is composed of local and regional artists who include painters, weavers, photographers, and potters.

Society for Contemporary Craft, 2100 Smallman St., opens “Transformation 9: Contemporary Works in Ceramics” on Friday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Admission is free. Donations are accepted. Call 412-261-7003.
