Drake Well Museum, 202 Museum Lane, Titusville, will host the lecture “Guns & Oil: The PA Oil Region in the Civil War” by regional historian Margo Mong at 6:30 p.m. today. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., opens “Pittsburgh’s Lost Steamboat: Treasures of the Arabia” Saturday. The Steamboat Arabia launched from Pittsburgh in 1853, sunk in the Missouri River and was discovered nearly 150 years later by treasure hunters 45 feet below a Kansas cornfield. The 8,000-square-foot exhibition showcases items from the pre-Civil War era, including nearly 2,000 objects perfectly preserved. A display of Bill Mazeroski’s 1960 World Series uniform and bronzed bat, on loan from the Tull Family Collection, continues through May 1.
