Josiah J. Fleeger

Josiah J. Fleeger, 77, of Monroe, N.C., formerly of Clinton Township, passed away Wednesday at the Novant Health, Matthews Medical Center, Matthews, N.C.

Born on July 31, 1936, in Clay Township, he was the son of the late Josiah V. and Virginia (Norris) Fleeger.

Josiah was a 1954 graduate of the Winfield-Clinton School. He spent his entire career at and retired from Saxonburg Ceramics.

Josiah was a member of the Siler Presbyterian Church in Wesley Chapel, N.C. He was also a member of the Jesse Plyer Sunday School Class and had served as a property deacon. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Christy) Fleeger, who he married on March 30, 1957; his daughters, Tamara (Jay) Maihle of Valencia, Jodi Fleeger of Saxonburg and Lesli (Scott) Clowes of Charlotte, N.C.; his brother, James Fleeger of Butler; his grandchildren, Joshua Clowes, Ashley Clowes, Tyler Clowes, and Emma Maihle; and his great-granddaughter, Kennedy Clowes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Pavlovic.

Fleeger— The friends of Josiah J. Fleeger, who passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. W. James Legge officiating.
