Prices may vary
It seems every day some crisis or disaster affects the price of oil and gasoline. Most of this is beyond our control, but I don’t understand the wide price range for gas within a 25 mile radius of our home.
Two stations on Route 356 have regular for $3.999; another on 356 and one on Route 8 North have regular for $3.899. The two with the lower prices are part of the same chain of stores as the $3.999. A local membership store has regular for less.
Some will say they can get it from a retailer for a cheaper price by buying in bulk. I drive down Route 8 South into Allegheny County, where regular grade is available for $3.749 or less, including major brands. OK, why?
