Robert Blair 'Bob' Walker

Robert Blair “Bob” Walker, 79, of Butler went to be with his Heavenly Father at 12:11 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born on Dec. 21, 1934, in Butler to the late George William Walker and Helen Viola (Newell) Walker.

Mr. Walker worked as a utility person for PA American Water in Butler until his retirement on Feb. 1, 1997.

He enjoyed camping, playing pool and being with his grandchildren. A faithful servant to the Lord, he attended the Calvary Baptist Church of Butler, where he was loved by all.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen A. Walker; his three daughters, Rebecca L. Yount of Butler, Amy C. Coleman and her husband, Aaron, of Valencia and Colleen E. Sexton and her husband, Larry, of Cleveland, Tenn.; his four grandchildren, Chase and Leanna Sexton and Reed and Allison Coleman; his sister, Penny Oesterling and her husband, Alan, of Etowah, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Matthew W. Yount.

Walker — The friends of Robert Blair “Bob” Walker, who passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church, 199 Great Belt Road, Butler, with the Pastor Joel Ward officiating.
