John H. Stiehler

John Stiehler

John H. Stiehler, 75, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Karns City, passed away Thursday at his home in Florida.

He was born on March 2, 1939, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late John Edward Stiehler and Wanda (Lokar) Stiehler.

John neutralized acid at Indspec for 30 years.

He was a member of the Parker Lodge F&AM, the Butler Caravan 14, Syria Shrine, the New Castle Consistory and the Butler Elks 170.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Des Moines. He was also a lifetime member of the Parker VFW and the American Legion Post 249.

Surviving are his daughter, Shana Stiehler of Naples, Fla.; his two grandchildren, Darren Stiehler and Dominique Stiehler; his four brothers, Barry (Arlene) Stiehler of Pittsburgh, and Robert (Carla) Stiehler, Terry (Shereen) Stiehler and Warren (Carolyn) Stiehler, all of Karns City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn (Litzenberg) Stiehler, and his daughter, Shelley Stiehler.

Stiehler — The friends of John H. Stiehler, who passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Masonic services will be at 6:45 p.m. Thursday from the Parker Lodge.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Dr. Curt McDaniel officiating.
