JEFFERSON TWP — The South Butler School District has hired a district native to be the new director of business affairs.

Paul Slomer Jr. was approved last week by the South Butler School Board for a five-year contract with an initial salary of $82,000.

Slomer starts his new job on Aug. 25, two days before school starts in the district.

He previously worked for Sonneborn refinery in Petrolia. He lives in the school district with his wife, Nicole. They have three children, who are all Knoch graduates.
