10:30 p.m. Wednesday — Erin A. Lazor, 31, of Cabot was arrested after allegedly attacking a 35-year-old man with a baseball bat at her home in the 700 block of North Pike Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Lazor struck Patrick C. Boulanger of Cranberry Township numerous times with the bat.Boulanger suffered minor injuries. Lazor, who was placed in the Butler County Prison, is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.Wednesday — An unknown burglar stole metal components after breaking into Butler Petroleum on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. Taken was copper from furnaces and air conditioning units.The burglary happened between Aug. 1 and Wednesday.Wednesday — Police filed a pair of misdemeanor drug charges against Gary J. Drew Jr., 24, of Butler stemming from a traffic stop about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at West New Castle Road and Fourth Avenue in Butler.The vehicle that Drew was riding in was pulled over, according to a police report, because the driver did not have the headlights on. Police said when they approached the vehicle they smelled a “strong odor” of marijuana.Drew was later found with suspected marijuana. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police also cited him for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a safe from a Ford City man's home on Elbo Run Road in Kittanning Township. The theft happened between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.

5:53 p.m. Monday — Four young people, all from Butler County, were hurt in a one-vehicle crash in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said Joseph T. Anderson, 18, of Harmony was driving too fast around a curve on North Grant Road just east of Frew Mill Road when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and struck a tree. The SUV rolled over and landed on its wheels.Anderson was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with serious injuries. Two passengers — Calvin C. Delprete, 18, and Adam R. Baehr, 20, both of Evans City — suffered moderate injuries. Delprete was taken to an undisclosed hospital.A third passenger, a 17-year-old Zelienople boy who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries. The boy was the only occupant in the vehicle wearing a seat belt.Police cited Anderson for driving too fast for conditions.
