8:11 p.m. Wednesday — Tiana T. Gladkoff, 18, of Butler allegedly struck another woman after provoking an altercation at the West New Castle Street Plaza. Gladkoff is accused of punching 29-year-old Virginia Yates of Butler several times in the head.Yates was later treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor head injury. Police said Gladkoff faces a citation for harassment.9:31 p.m. Tuesday — Peter A. Salata, 39, of Lyndora was arrested after he gave a bogus name to police who stopped him while investigating a possible drug deal on North Chestnut Street.Police said they searched Salata, who smelled of alcohol, and found a used syringe in his shorts pocket. They also found an identification card with his real name. It turned out, police said, he was wanted on a bench warrant. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant.He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, false identification to police and public drunkenness.

8:34 p.m. Friday — Two youths, who police did not identify, face drug charges following a traffic stop on Hansen Avenue. Police said they found suspected marijuana, drug contraband and two cans of beer in the teenagers' car.The driver, a 17-year-old Cranberry Township female, and her passenger, a 16-year-old Butler female, are both charged with possession of a small mount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The older girl also was cited for possession of alcohol by a minor and a traffic violation.

Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating the weekend theft of a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle from a home on North Broad Street. The cycle was recovered in the 300 block of North Broad Street on Sunday, the same day the owner reported it stolen.Tuesday — A smart phone was found on South Broad Street. The owner can claim the phone at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.Sunday — An unidentified vehicle struck and pushed a 52-year-old Grove City woman's silver Cadillac into the side of a building at the American Legion on South Broad Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Saturday — A vehicle driven by Sondra Plunkett, 25, of Grove City rear-ended a school bus that was stopped at the railroad crossing on South Broad Street. The bus was carrying 16 passengers. No one was injured.Police cited Plunkett for driving an unregistered vehicle.

8:40 p.m. Wednesday — A 15-year-old boy was caught with a suspected marijuana plant at his home on Angelspur Road in Brady Township. The youth, who police did not identify, is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Wednesday — Police filed charges against Timothy Hemphill and Valerie Patton, 49, of Slippery Rock stemming from an apparent dispute during which they damaged one another's property at Hemphill's home on Staff Road in Brady Township.Hemphill and Patton are both charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.11:14 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Samantha L. Wetzel, 19, of Boyers crashed and rolled onto its roof on Camp Fatima Road, just south ofWildlife Lane in Connoquenessing Township. Police cited Wetzel for driving at an unsafe speed.11:12 a.m. Monday — One person was hurt in a two-car wreck on Route 8 just south of Old Route 8 in Middlesex Township. The crash happened when Edward J. Cain, 69, of Ellwood City turned into the path of the other car driven by Shelly A. Rinaman, 39, of Valencia.Cain, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said he was cited for making an improper left turn.Monday — An unknown vandal smashed a 76-year-old man's mailbox at his home on Collier Drive in Donegal Township. The vandalism happened between Saturday and Monday.

4:15 p.m. Monday — One person was hurt when a car driven by Barbara E. Carr, 84, of Emlenton struck a pickup truck on Route 8 in Victory Township. The pickup, driven by Eric S. Phillips, 34, of Erie, rolled over after the collision about two miles north of Route 308.Clintonville volunteer firefighters had to free Phillips from the wreckage of his truck. He was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca with unknown injuries. Police said he was wearing a seat belt.Carr was cited for making an improper turn, a police report said.

11:33 p.m. Tuesday — Michael R. Hessom, 18, of Freeport was hurt when he lost control of his car, crossed over both lanes and crashed into a guardrail on Route 28 just east of Church Road in North Buffalo Township.Hessom, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township. Police said he was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.5:50 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by David P. Goettler, 24, of Butler struck the back of a sport utility vehicle on Route 85 in Rayburn Township. The other driver, Sandra L. Reesman, 56, of Dayton, suffered minor injuries. Reesman, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at ACMH Hospital.Police said Goettler was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.11:51 a.m. Monday — An unknown suspect was apparently scared off by a burglar alarm after breaking into a garage on Sierrett Road in Irwin Township. The burglar cut off a padlock on the main door. Nothing was taken.

3:39 p.m. Sunday — Carol E. Walker, 67, of Fenelton and another woman were hurt in a two-car crash in Washington Township, Lawrence County. The wreck happened when the vehicles driven by Richard R. Walker, 70, of Fenelton and Ralph D. Snyder, 81, of Hadley collided at Route 19 and Potter Run Road.Carol Walker, a passenger in Richard Walker's car, and Beverly J. Snyder, 77, a passenger in the other car, both suffered unknown injuries.Police said Richard Walker was cited for making an improper left turn.
