Grant OK'd to rehabilitate stream bank
HARRISBURG — To help rehabilitate the stream bank of Wolf Creek in Grove City, the Commonwealth Financing Authority on Tuesday approved nearly $40,000 for the project, said state Rep. Dick Stevenson, R-8th.
The $39,673 grant will be used by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy to restore 1,000 feet of highly eroding stream bank by installing fish habitat enhancing devices, to add debris to the stream and to stabilize the banks.
The grant is part of the Watershed Restoration and Protection Program, with funding from Act 13 impact fees and the Commonweath Financing Authority ’s Marcellus Legacy Fund.
