SRU president gets 3.5% pay raise
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s president has received a more than $8,000 raise for this school year.
According to the State System of Higher Education, Cheryl Norton’s salary increases from $231,750 to $239,861, a 3.5 percent jump.
The performance-based raise is retroactive to July.
Norton is one of 12 university presidents or chancellors receiving a raise. The average increase was 3.5 percent.
Although there are 14 state-owned universities, two administrators are serving in acting capacities, so they were not eligible for the pay increases.
