Betty Jane Fuhs

Betty Jane Fuhs, 86, of Butler passed away Tuesday morning following an illness.

Betty was born July 18, 1928, in Unionville. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Grace Hatfield Miller.

Mrs. Fuhs was a Presbyterian, and she enjoyed embroidering and playing bingo. She was married Sept. 3, 1950, to Harry H. Fuhs. He preceded her in death in 1973.

Betty is survived by two sons, Thomas Fuhs and his wife, Joyce, of Butler, and Charles Fuhs of Gainesville, Fla.; two daughters, Eleanor Taylor and Bonnie Stiteler, both of Butler; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

Fuhs — Friends of Betty Jane Fuhs, who passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St., Prospect, with the Rev. Dr. James Boos, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society, 1050 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001, or to Prospect Boys and Girls Club, P.O. Box 462, Prospect, PA 16052.
