SLIPPERY ROCK — Members of the Slippery Rock Business Association recently elected new officers to serve terms spanning 2015 to 2017. They are:

The association is an affiliate of the Butler County Chamber.

Members generally meet at 11:45 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the lower level of NexTier Bank, 121 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with some meetings at other sites throughout the year.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce recently elected eight members to its board, five of them were re-elected.The new members are Ann Gatty, Philip Scolieri and Jan Stevens. The incumbents who were re-elected are Judith Bernhard, Steve Carpenter, Kent Clifton, John D. Laslavic and Dan Penberthy.Executive director Jim Boltz said that he's happy to work with the new members on the board, which has of 21 directors who are elected to three-year terms.Seven board members are up for election each year, although eight had to be elected this year after Boltz vacated his board spot last year to become the executive director.Each board member can serve for two terms.

LANCASTER TWP — Hahn-Vorbach & Associates, a company that provides investment grade vehicle restoration, customization and maintenance services, recently established an in-house three-dimensional scanning and design service to create production-ready data for rare and custom vehicle parts.Those parts can be produced using state-of-the-art 3-D printing, or additive manufacturing, technologies.The company's capabilities include scanning entire automobiles and component parts, as well as designing custom pieces for restorations and customized vehicles.Co-owner Paul Vorbach said in a news release, “It is exciting to be able to leverage an extremely modern technology to assist us in restoring vehicles that are 50, 60 and 70-plus years old.”Co-owner Bill Hahn added, “We see our 3-D scanning and design service as very much a growth center for our business going forward, as we are not limited to producing old car parts but can also serve customers looking to restore tractors, airplanes and other vehicles.”

NexTier Bank recently announced two additions to its executive leadership team.Gregory Schultz is the bank's chief credit officer. He will be responsible for the company's credit policy and underwriting, as well as loan operations.He has more than 40 years of experience in the banking industry. Most recently, he was the senior vice president and commercial lender for Farmers and Merchants Bank, which merged with NexTier late last year.Brian Dutton is the bank's chief legal counsel. He is responsible for the company's legal affairs and public policy interests.He has more than 16 years of legal experience and came to NexTier from Grenen & Birsic PC, where he provided a broad range of legal services to national, regional and community banks.

PITTSBURGH — Baierl Automotive has announced that it will donate $50 to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's Free Care Fund with every test drive at one of its 10 locations.Donations will continue until Jan. 5th or until its fundraising goal of $20,000 is reached.It has several dealerships in the Cranberry Township and Wexford area.

GROVE CITY — The Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 14 at Grove City College's MAP Dining Hall.Grove City College President Paul McNulty will speak. He has had a career in law and politics and served in former President George W. BAKERSTOWN — Schellhaas Funeral Homes has renewed its affiliation with Lofty Oaks Association, a New Hampshire organization that aids reforestation and conservation efforts in Pennsylvania.It has a tree planted for each funeral service performed to provide a living memorial in honor of the deceased and to renew the forest in Pennsylvania.After each service, close family members and friends are told that the memorial tree has been planted. They receive a certificate of the planting.

• Shoe Sensation in Clearview Mall in Center Township will give the Salvation Army with $476 for its Project Bundle Up. For the week of Dec. 2-8 donations were accepted at the store from customers for the Salvation Army.personnel file• The Landau Building Co., in Wexford has hired Mike Nehnevajsa as its operations manager.
