Dutton, Kadlubek lead SR victory

Ryan Dutton scored 22 points and Brady Kadlubek added 18 as the Slippery Rock boys basketball team rolled over visiting Conneaut Area 63-49 on Thursday.

Camren Neal contributed 10 points for the Rockets (6-5).

Sam Breen collected 19 points and 13 rebounds to power Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic to a dominating 70-20 home win against Eden Christian on Thursday.

Abby Goetz added 17 points for the Trojanettes (7-2, 5-0).

Ethan Waddell scored Freeport’s lone goal in a 1-1 non-section tie with Quaker Valley at the Airport Ice Arena.

The Yellowjackets (8-4-1) outshot the defending PIHL Class A champions 29-22.

Butler 6, Penn-Trafford 1 — Sam Gross, Marcus McCall and Dustin Davis scored twice to help the Golden Tornado earn a Class AAA win over the Warriors.

Clay Bachman made 17 stops in net for Butler (8-3-3), which outshot Penn-Trafford 42-18. Brendan Ackelson and Trevor Gilliland each had two assists for the Golden Tornado.

Mars 5, Gateway 0 — The Planets received goals from five different players — Keaton Hanna, Noah Raymundo, Evan Smicker, Ben Heltman and Tyler Grau.

Patrick Roach and Charlie Osborne both had two assists while Tyler Spreng stopped 10 shots in the shutout for the Planets (14-2).
