Rev. Bober leaves school to plan new church
CRANBERRY TWP — Bishop David Zubik has released The Rev. Charles Bober as president of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School, according to a news release Tuesday from the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Zubik made the decision to allow Bober to dedicate his time to planning the construction of a new church building for St. Kilian Parish, where he is a pastor.
He will continue to serve at the high school as a co-chaplain with The Rev. Christopher D. Donley.
The school will operate without a president, and his responsibilities will be shifted to the newly-hired principal Ann Gaudino, said diocese spokesman Rev. Ron Lengwin.
“She’s now responsible for both the educational side and the administrative side,” Lengwin said.
As co-chaplain, Bober will still teach, give mass and be available to the students of the high school.
The parish is preparing designs and hopes to start construction of a new church facility this year.
