Society seeks school history

The Butler County Historical Society is preparing “School’s Done!” — the third book in its history of education series. These books cover education in Butler County’s schools from 1800 to the 1950s when the last of the one-room schools closed and districts consolidated.

The society would like anyone who has photographs of the school buildings or children attending the schools to bring them, as well as stories and memories, to be included in this book. The society will safely scan photos and return the originals.

The deadline to submit information and photographs is March 6. For more information, call 724-283-8116 or visit www.butlerhistory.com.
