Paul Kennihan

Paul L. Kennihan, 84, of Middlesex Township passed away Tuesday in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 16, 1930, in Bakerstown to the late Howard P. and Eleanor Meridian Kennihan.

He worked as a self-employed electrician.

He served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

He was an active lifetime member of the Bairdford United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.

Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Dillner Kennihan, who he married on Sept. 3, 1952; his two sons, Ron P. Kennihan of California and Kim (Preeti) Kennihan of Upper St. Clair; his daughter, Diana (Gary) Wojcik of Seven Fields; his grandchildren, Eric (Christina), Kevin, Nikki, Caitlin, Ian, Alex and Nicole; his brothers, Robert (Margaret) Kennihan of Natrona Heights and Jack (Mary Grace) Kennihan of California; and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Bill (Joan) Kennihan of Arizona.

Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Kennihan— A memorial service for Paul L. Kennihan, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bairdford United Methodist Church, 390 Bairdford Road, Bairdford. Paul will be laid to rest at Bakerstown Cemetery in Bakerstown.Memorial donations can be made in Paul's memory to the Bairdford United Methodist Church, 390 Bairdford Road, Bairdford, PA 15006.Arrangements have been entrusted to the King Funeral Home, Allison Park.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Paul's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
