Chocolate Celebration coming up

CRANBERRY TWP — The second annual Celebration of Chocolate will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 at the Regional Learning Alliance, 850 Cranberry Woods Drive.

Along with vendors and demonstrations, there will be a show at 11:30 a.m. by the Keystone State Music Theater, whose 5- to 7-year-olds will perform “Candy Man” from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” and 8- to 12-year-olds will perform “Hot Chocolate” from “The Polar Express.”

Admission is $10, or $5 for children age 12 and younger. Call 866-856-8444.

The event is sponsored by the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau.

Dinner theater benefits K9

LYNDORA — A dinner theater featuring the murder mystery show “I Loathe Lucy” will be held as a fundraiser for the Butler City Police K9 on Saturday at Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the dinner and live performance start at 6 p.m.

BLT presents ‘Magnolias’

Butler Little Theatre’s upcoming show is “Steel Magnolias.”

The comedy/drama by Robert Harling will be directed by Jud Stewart and produced by Connie Donovan and Maria Wellman.

The cast will feature Marge Bankert, Kelly Benner, Amy Dittman, Megan Flannery, Lorraine Martin and Katy Closkey Wayne.

The run dates are March 13 to 15 and 17 to 21.

An improv night is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. March 28.
