GIBSONIA — Mark Dennis, a community management veteran with more than 25 years experience, has been named general manager of the St. Barnabas Communities.
He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, staffing, and property management of St. Barnabas Health System's four sites for independent retirees: The Village, The Woodlands, White Tail Ridge, and Washington Place at St. Barnabas.
Dennis is a certified manager of community associations and a member of the Association of Management Specialists.
He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and most recently was the vice president of community management with F. David Sylvester & Associates.
He and his wife, Kelly, live in Valencia and have two children.
FRANKLIN TWP — Gary Wood has been promoted to co-manager at the 84 Lumber store in the township.He joined 84 Lumber in July 2012 as a manager trainee at the Vanport location.Wood is a native of Center Township and a graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam N.Y.The Butler store is at 995 New Castle Road.
GIBSONIA — Dr. Jason Strcula is the new director of dental medicine for the Dental Group at St. Barnabas, 5830 Meridian Road.Strcula earned a degree in dental medicine from the University of Pittsburgh and has 20 years of experience in dentistry. Before joining the dental group, he worked with his wife, Dr. Juliette Murcko, in private practice.He also was a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh Dentistry.He and his wife live in Shaler Township.
Grove Manor Skilled Nursing in Grove City has received the Embracing Quality Award given annually to skilled nursing facilities in the United States and Canada. This year 301 facilities were named recipients of the award given by Denver-based Providigm.
